You can also use actuators and build your own custom flaps with those, but that is more complicated, especially in the new version since you need to remember to turn on aerodynamic lift on those parts. The flaps will be inside eachother then, but that doesn't matter.
Depending on the size of your plane, you may need more flaps to get the maneuverability you want, but you can literally just copy/past them in the same spots. One or two on the rear wing for pitch, and one placed vertically on the tail for yaw.
Also you really shouldn't need sensors to make a plane in either version, not a simple one at least.Īs for flaps, at the most basic level you need one at both ends of the main wing for roll (make sure to set the input value on one of them to negative so they move in opposite directions). Are you building in Legacy or 1.0.whatever? My advice is for Legacy, but it might still be somewhat useful in the new version too.
